Published 22 October 2026

The British Pharmacopoeia team is proud to release the following new BP chemical reference substances (BPCRS) to support new and updated finished product monographs within the BP 2027 edition.

Our new BPCRS can help facilitate the manufacture of drugs used to treat a range of diseases including Parkinson’s, hypertension and inflammatory disorders.

Our portfolio of legally enforceable written standards (monographs) and highly characterised physical standards (BPCRS) continues to grow to support the fight against global diseases. You can visit the 'About Reference Standards' page to learn more about our BPCRS.
