BPCRS CAS Number Search and Downloadable Catalogue now available
Published 8 October 2025
We are pleased to announce the launch of a new CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service) number search feature on the BPCRS catalogue. Additionally, we are now providing a monthly extract of the BPCRS Catalogue in Excel format making it easier for you to browse all products available. These enhancements come in direct response to customer feedback, aiming to make product discovery and ordering faster.
The new CAS number feature allows customers to search for products by their unique CAS number, a widely recognised chemical identifier that eliminates ambiguity when sourcing substances. By integrating CAS number search directly into its product listings, BP is streamlining workflows for customers who rely on accurate chemical identification in their work.
"Our customers told us they wanted a simpler way to find exactly what they need without sifting through lengthy product names or descriptions," said a spokesperson for BP. "Adding CAS number search and providing a downloadable catalogue was the natural next step in making our platform more user-friendly and efficient."
The option to download the full BPCRS catalogue gives customers a comprehensive, portable reference for all available chemical reference substances, making it easier to plan purchases, manage inventories, and ensure compliance with the latest pharmacopeial standards.
These updates reflect the BP's commitment to continuous improvement and responsiveness to user needs. By incorporating customer feedback into its development process, BP is supporting users in accessing authoritative standards more efficiently, helping laboratories, manufacturers, and regulators to source the substances they need with confidence and clarity.
The CAS number search feature is now live via the BPCRS Catalogue online and the BPCRS Catalogue download is now available to download from its own designated page.
