New Interactive ‘How to Use the BP’ Guide Released

We’re pleased to announce an update to the ‘How to Use the British Pharmacopoeia (BP)’ Guide, designed to help users navigate and interpret BP monographs more effectively.

This free to use guide is designed to help you become more familiar with the requirements of the BP, find where to locate the different types of information and use and interpret the requirements of a formulated preparation monograph. 

What’s New 

The guide has been transformed from a static PDF into a fully interactive web experience. Key improvements include:

  • Learn more about each section of the monograph with clickable references to provide contextual explanations.
  • All explanatory notes are also available collectively at the bottom of the page for easy review and cross-reference.
  • Read more about how impurities are calculated in BP monographs.
  • Understand more deeply, the requirements of System Suitability sections.

This update makes it easier for users to explore and understand the structure and content of a BP formulated preparation monograph. By introducing interactive, accessible elements, the guide supports a smoother, more intuitive learning experience while remaining true to the authoritative BP format.
