New members of the British Pharmacopoeia Commission

Following a successful appointments campaign, four new members have been appointed to the British Pharmacopoeia Commission with effect from 22 June 2020 for a period of 4 years. 

  • Dr Emre Amirak, Country Medical Director UK, Ireland and Nordics, Akcea Therapeutics
  • Dr Andrew Barnes, Quality Assurance Pharmacist, Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit, East Sussex and North Essex NHS Trust
  • Dr Vikas Jaitely, Director Global Regulatory Affairs, Merck
  • Dr Paul Marshall, Regulatory Affairs Director (Licensed Products), Jazz Pharmaceuticals

These appointments were made in accordance with the Cabinet Office Code of Governance for Public Appointments following a review of membership undertaken by the Department of Health and Social Care Public Appointments Unit.
