New Chair sought for the British Pharmacopoeia Commission
The British Pharmacopoeia Commission will be looking to appoint a new Chair with effect from 1 October 2022.
The Chair is an important and influential role within the BP Commission, driving the ongoing development of the BP and contributing to its Expert Advisory Groups and the work of the European Pharmacopoeia Commission.
The Chair should be at a senior level in the pharmaceutical sector, academia or the hospital service and should understand the purpose and function of a pharmacopoeia and its place in the overall regulatory system. Please note that the Chair will not be permitted to hold any personal interests in the pharmaceutical industry (or must be prepared to dispose of any such interests).
Potential applicants will need to apply directly via the Cabinet Office website; the advert is expected to go live in March. You may wish to register your interest in the role in advance by emailing BPCOM@mhra.gov.ukwith your name and contact details – we will alert you once the advert is live.
