Website updates

We are delighted to welcome you to the new website. We have listened to your feedback and improved the site to help support your needs.

The revamped website incorporates a range of updated features including:

Find what you need more easily with a new and improved site design and navigation

We worked with several users over the past months to ensure the new site was easy to navigate by improving the information architecture. Helping users find the information they need quickly and more efficiently.

We have had some great feedback from our users on this:

“More user friendly. Easier to find things compared with current version. Layout of pages is improved.”

We would also love to hear your feedback about the site

Self-serve online with improved purchase journeys

Users now have the ability to completely self-serve with purchasing single-user licences (SULs) on the website.

When purchasing SULs, users will now be emailed a unique claim token giving them immediate access to BP Online. This provides users faster access to content and a self-serve functionality for those purchasing for others.

Updated timeline and tracked changes to better visualise changes to monographs

Users can now easily navigate monographs and see the changes that have happened in previous BP editions. (see example below)

British Approved Names (BAN) has been converted from PDF into a whole new format with the same look and feel of the BP publication

So users have familiarity with ways of accessing all our publications we have updated the way BAN is displayed on the website.

It is now available as html webpages, so users can now access and search it in the same way as the BP publication.

We have created a handy video to show these improvements.

Why have we made these changes?

We wanted to provide a better experience for our users and have developed the site to ensure it meets the latest Government Digital Standards (GDS) principles and accessibility requirements. As well as adding some exciting new features to the website.

What do I need to do as a user?

If you’re an existing user, you won’t need to do anything and should be able to log-in as normal.
